Scott Stinson is a founding member of Central Realty, and is the focus of this installment of the Quantum Lister series. Scott has decades of experience managing and leasing commercial real estate. How long have you been in Commercial Real Estate?

I have been in the industry for 35 years.

What are some of the biggest changes you’ve seen in the industry during that time?

The shift from small stores to big box and back to small stores with integrated online purchasing and delivery.  It’s like a back to the 1950’s kind of when you could call the local store on the telephone and they would deliver. 

How many listings do you have?

We currently have 30 commercial 

How do you get new business?

Most of our new business comes from referrals and repeat customers.

What tech tools do you use to manage all the listings?

Buildout and QuantumListing

What other technology do you use to manage your business?

Rent Manager and Gsuite

How does QuantumListing fit into your technological tool kit?

It expands our offering to a wider audience and allows us to source product.

What are your favorite QuantumListing features?

Searching and saving properties

How do you see technology changing CRE?

More information at your fingertips – you still have to have the relationships.  But you can service them better and quicker utilizing technology. 

What other emerging trends do you see in CRE? In your market? In your region? Nationally?

Pandemic effects on office, retail, hotel, etc – what are they and which ones will be permanent. 

Is there anything else that you’d like our readers to know?

We help teach tennis to kids at the East St. Louis, Illinois Community Tennis Association.
