Voted one of TimeOut magazine’s “Coolest 40 Neighborhoods in the World”, ULI Fall Meeting attendees toured this diverse community on the north side of Chicago. Uptown offers spectacular lake side views, a growing entertainment district, and a thriving food and cultural scene. Led by members of the local economic development group, the tour saw street art installations and historic theaters, plus a unique adaptive re-use of a mid-century office building into market rate apartments and retail, and ending at Asia on Argyle with an overview of the Asian-American owned businesses that call Uptown home.
